Piping Inspection


Piping inspection course would acquaint learners with creation of piping inventory, preparing isometric sketches, assessing potential degradation causes, monitoring generic or localized corrosion, selection of proper NDE technique for ascertaining the damage potential of piping circuit; analyse pipes for leakage, coating or insulation damage, misalignment, deteriorating piping support, vibration etc.; calculation of remnant life of pipes, calculation of retirement thickness by factoring in minimum thickness needed and recommended structural thickness, calculation of rate of corrosion by analysing the  metal loss tendency within given time period, ascertaining of pipe inspection period for delineating non-thinning damage, making provision for supplementary inspection to segregate pipes vulnerable to creep cracking , chloride SSC, polythionic acid, caustic SCC and other types of induced cracking.

Duration of course: 60 hours

Eligible candidates: Students with M.Tech, M.E., B.E., B.Tech, Diploma in Mechanical or electrical engineering qualify for QA QC certificate courses Kochi
